So the military recruitment teams are coming through campus this week and they are pulling out all the stops to get student attention. Last year they had their banners and tents setup all throughout the common grounds with recruiters that would talk to students in a pretty calm and professional manner. This year, they are bringing in video game trucks, loud speakers for every corner of every tent, and one of them is even bringing in one of those inflatable obstacle courses. I understand that it gets harder and harder each year to grab the attention of the students but I kind of feel like this might be a bit much but hey, I am not in charge of military recruitment so I would not be the leading expert on these things. Now do not get me wrong, we love these guys. They are always extremely professional and courteous to the other teams on that reserve their spots on the grounds but I feel like they’re going to be blasting music over each other just to get attention.
